Please enter your name (pseudonyms are allowed, this name may be published if your clue is successful), your email address (which will never be published), and your clue (there is no need to show enumerations). You can add an explanation if you wish.

Only one entry per person is allowed; you may resubmit your clue, but only the last submission will be considered. The primary reference for words and phrases other than proper nouns is The Chambers Dictionary (2016); this does not preclude the use of modern words or senses of words which are not in Chambers if they are likely to be known to most solvers.

The clues will be assessed by a panel of three, including a guest judge, and will be anonymized prior to judging. A report on the competition, including commentary on selected clues, will appear in the October Digest.

If you have any questions about the competitions in general, or about a specific competition, please email the Clue Clinic using the details on the Contact page.
